Well I have bought Cityville Secrets and so far I’m impressed. I have not had it long, but I have been trying out some of the strategies Tony Saunders (also known as T Dub) talks about and I can see them working.

My city was very sad, not many people populated it, and they were all sad because I needed to build more houses, but I couldn’t do that because I didn’t have the money or energy. So far I’ve learnt about the best ways to make money, and it is making a very big difference to my game.

I’m growing my businesses fast, and planting lots of crops so I can make Cityville money as fast as possible, because I have so much I want to spend it on! It is very important to grow the right crops, and Tony talks about that in his book too.

I’m also increasing my community buildings, as this helps me earn even more money.

I’ve also learnt about adding more neighbours, and how I should interact with them, and that is helping a lot as well. You really need a few friends who play Cityville and are your neighbours to be able to access everything.

I’m spending a lot of time playing Cityville now, probably more time on this than any of the Zynga Facebook games, and it is fast becoming my favourite game. It is so addictive, I can’t leave it alone.

It is so much more fun playing Cityville now I understand more about the best way to play, Cityville Secrets has helped me so much. If you are struggling with Cityville, I recommend reading this book, as you’ll find it easy to understand, and really helpful at getting good at the game fast.

I’ll come back to you again with a further update as I progress.

Zynga have made a real name for themselves in the last couple of years with all the games which can be played on facebook. This is a review of just a few of them:

Farmville – in this game you own land and grow crops to make money, so you can buy more land, more crops, buy animals and put up fences to keep your farm animals from wandering away! Crops take from 5 minutes to a couple of hours, and even a couple of days to ripen so they can be harvested. The idea is that you plant the crops that take the right amount of time, depending on when you are next back playing. Leave it too long and the crops have withered and you have to plough the field and plant again! This game is fairly addictive, and pretty popular on facebook, and is especially good if you have friends that play as well.

For a great guide on how to play, see Farmville Secrets.

Mafia Wars – I have played this game a lot, and love it. Again, as with all Zynga games, you need friends who also play Mafia Wars for the best experience. As you could imagine, in this game you act like the mafia, fighting other mafia groups, taking over property, looting etc. You can travel to a variety of different locations to fight different groups, ie Chicago, Thailand, Las vegas, and not forgetting Italy! Another truly addictive game which you have to play at least daily to make the most of it.

They have also made a host of other games, including Cityville, Empires and Allies, Frontierville, to name but a few, and their latest game, which only came out recently, Castleville.

If you have a bit of spare time, pop on to Facebook and try one of Zynga’s games, you are bound to find at least one that you can’t stop playing!

I recently came across the Facebook game Cityville, and in no time at all was hooked.

If you have ever played any facebook games you will know that there are a huge number of games out there, some of which are average, some good, and some that are so addictive you can’t leave them alone!

Cityville is another top class game from Zynga, who have also made Farmville, Mafia Wars, and more recently Castleville, to name just a few.  Zynga really know how to make a good game, and no sooner had I started than I was addicted.

I was chatting to a friend of mine about Cityville (she is also my neighbour on Cityville), and I commented on how good her city looked, and how fast she was progressing. (I must admit I was feeling a little envious as I had only just started my city and I hadn’t got far at all). Anyway, I was expecting her to tell me how she had been playing for months, but she didn’t! She had only been playing for a few short weeks, but she was so far ahead.

I asked her how she had managed to do this, as I was getting nowhere very fast, and she told me she had bought a book off the internet called ‘Cityville Secrets’ and that since reading that and actioning what she had learnt her city had really taken off.

Well, I couldn’t be outdone by my friend, could I? So I went on the internet and found Cityville Secrets and I bought it straight away. It is written by Tony Saunders who has written other guides for Zynga games, so I thought it would probably be good, and I wasn’t disappointed.

I’m now off to try some of the strategies listed in the book, and I’ll get back to you on how I got on.
